I am Lindsay Plake.

I am a Los Angeles based actor working in film, theater, commercials, print, and new media.  As a member of the City Garage Theatre Company in Santa Monica for four years, I have performed in many different shows including “Eurydice” by Sarah Ruhl, “Exit the King” by Eugène Ionesco, and “The Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui” by Bertolt Brecht, to name a few.  Many of them have gotten published reviews in the Hollywood Reporter, LA Times, and other local publications. My first City Garage show, “right left with heels” by Polish playwright Sebastian Majewski, garnered a prestigious Stage Raw Theater Award nomination in the best two-person performance category.  On the big screen, you may have seen me play the role of Liz in the horror-comedy feature film, “Life’s a B****and Then One Kills You” directed by Alan Wood. In addition to many film accolades, my talented cast mates and I received the Film Invasion Los Angeles Grand Jury Prize of Best Performance by an Ensemble. Currently in post production is my pet project “Unleashed at Large” directed by Daniel Adams which I produced and starred in. I have a degree in Theatre from the University of Southern California, international commercial experience, and continue to study on-camera technique at Anthony Meindl’s Actors Workshop, improv at The Groundlings, and theater with Frederique Michel and Louis Fantasia.

Nothing is impossible, the word itself says ‘I’m possible!

I attribute my desires as an actor to watching classic movies as a young girl with my family.  Such films featuring my favorite starlets like Vivian Leigh, Marilyn Monroe, and Bette Davis were and continue to be great inspirations to me.

Thank you for letting me entertain you!

Much love,

LP
